Aliikai Voyage

Liveaboard in Indonesia

4.9 (4 reviews)

Aliikai Voyage is a 40-meter traditional Phinisi yacht refitted in 2020 by craftsmen in Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, accommodating 15 guests across 7 cabins on three decks. Unlike dedicated dive liveaboards, Aliikai combines 1–2 daily dives with snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, trekking, and cultural excursions across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, and the Banda Sea. Diving, nitrox, and equipment are included. Rates starting from USD $525 per person per day (excl. 11% VAT).

Aliikai Voyage occupies a distinct position in the Indonesian liveaboard market — designed not as a pure dive platform but as a luxury expedition yacht where diving is one of several ways to engage with the archipelago. Refitted in 2020 and featured in the Financial Times, Harper's Bazaar, Travel + Leisure, and Prestige, the vessel has built a following among travelers seeking immersive island experiences alongside quality underwater access. Itineraries typically include one to two dives per day, with the remainder of each day shaped around snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, beach setups, trekking, birdwatching, and cultural visits to remote communities.

Seven cabins across three decks accommodate up to 15 guests. Two Owner's Cabins — the Fam Cabin on the main deck and the Kei Cabin on the upper deck — each feature a king-size bed and private terrace. Two Deluxe Ocean View Cabins on the upper deck offer queen beds with sea-view windows. Two Ocean View Cabins on the lower deck provide queen beds with portholes, and the Asmat bow cabin on the lower deck includes a convertible sofa for a third guest. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms and individual air conditioning. Common areas include an indoor air-conditioned lounge and dining room with wrap-around windows, a covered outdoor dining and lounge area, and an upper deck that converts from a morning yoga space to an open-air cinema after dark.

A crew of 14, including an expedition leader, guides guests through itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, Alor, and the Banda Sea. Diving is supported by a ventilated camera room, two tenders, nitrox, and full equipment rental — all included in the cabin rate, along with port fees, marine park fees, and fuel surcharges. The rate excludes Indonesian VAT of 11%.

Booking FAQ

Booking is easy - a 50% deposit secures your spot immediately, with the remaining balance due 100 days before departure. If you're booking within 100 days of your trip, full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Popular routes book 6-12 months or even further, so we recommend securing your spot early.
