Aurora

Liveaboard in Indonesia

5 (7 reviews)

Aurora is a 42-meter traditional Phinisi liveaboard built in Sulawesi, accommodating 18 guests across 9 cabins in two categories — Superior Cabins on the main deck with sea views and Standard Cabins on the lower deck. For the 2026/2027 season, itineraries of 6 to 12 nights cover Raja Ampat, Halmahera, Lembeh, and Cenderawasih Bay. Nitrox, port fees, park fees, and fuel surcharges are all included. Rates starting from USD $391 per person per day.

Aurora is operated by DUNE Liveaboard, a multi-destination operator with vessels in Indonesia, the Maldives, Egypt, Djibouti, Sudan, and Saudi Arabia. The Indonesian fleet is represented by the Aurora, a traditional Phinisi built in Sulawesi combining wooden craftsmanship with modern diving facilities. A crew of 19 provides attentive service throughout each voyage, with gear assembly and disassembly handled by the team and cold drinks and warm towels offered after every dive.

Nine air-conditioned cabins accommodate up to 18 guests across two categories. Superior Cabins on the main deck offer sea views, while Standard Cabins are located on the lower deck — both with en-suite bathrooms and daily housekeeping. An air-conditioned salon provides indoor relaxation, and a sun deck offers open-air space between dives. The onboard chef prepares local and international cuisine with dedicated menus for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free requirements.

Diving operations include free nitrox for certified divers and professional dive guides leading site-specific itineraries with land excursions and snorkeling activities built into the schedule. Port fees, national park fees, and fuel surcharges are included in the cabin rate. For the 2026/2027 season, itineraries range from 6 to 12 nights across Raja Ampat, Halmahera, Lembeh Strait, and Cenderawasih Bay, following seasonal conditions across the eastern Indonesian archipelago.

Booking FAQ

Booking is easy - a 10% deposit secures your spot immediately, with the remaining balance due 70 days before departure. If you're booking within 70 days of your trip, full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Popular routes book 6-12 months or even further, so we recommend securing your spot early.
