Damai II

Liveaboard in Indonesia

4.9 (5 reviews)

Damai II is a 40-meter luxury Phinisi liveaboard built in 2011 by Pak Hadji Baso of Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi, accommodating 12 guests across 7 cabins with a 9-meter beam. For the 2026/2027 season, the vessel operates 8 to 12-night itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Halmahera, and Derawan Islands, with a 4:1 guest-to-guide ratio. Single supplement from 30%. Rates starting from USD $608 per person per day.

Damai II is the second vessel built by Pak Hadji Baso for the Dive Damai fleet, constructed in 2011 with a slightly wider 9-meter beam than its sister ship, adding extra deck space and stability. While sharing the same core diving philosophy as Damai I — three dive guides plus one instructor, a 4:1 guest-to-guide ratio, and two custom high-speed tenders — Damai II introduces several enhancements: larger dive stations with wider individual rinse tanks, a more spacious camera room suited for big-rig setups, flat screen TVs pre-loaded with entertainment in every cabin, and satellite Wi-Fi throughout. The vessel also covers a broader seasonal range, including dedicated Kalimantan itineraries not offered on Damai I.

Seven cabins accommodate up to 12 guests on standard departures. Five below-deck cabins each measure approximately 20 sqm with a double bed, separate day bed, en-suite dry and wet zones divided by a glass shower door, desk, wardrobe, air conditioning, and flat screen TV. The two stern staterooms on the main deck each exceed 40 sqm and feature a super-king bed, day beds, two desks, en-suite shower with separate head, and a private deck with loungers. Single supplement is 30% above the double rate on standard cabins, with higher rates applying to the stern staterooms. Three spacious outdoor deck areas include an outdoor dining space, massage and spa treatment area, and generous lounge and sunbathing spaces. As with Damai I, complimentary free-flow beer and a glass of wine with dinner are included throughout the voyage.
