Dewi Nusantara

Liveaboard in Indonesia

5 (8 reviews)

Dewi Nusantara is a 58-meter three-masted wooden topsail schooner built in 2008 for luxury liveaboard diving in Indonesia. Accommodating 18 guests across eight 20 sqm Deluxe Staterooms and a 46 sqm Master Suite with 180-degree ocean views. For the 2026/2027 season, the vessel operates 9, 10, and 11-night itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Banda Sea, and Alor, with a crew of 23. Rates starting from USD $577 per person per day.

Dewi Nusantara — "Goddess of the Archipelago" — is widely regarded as Indonesia's premier liveaboard diving vessel. Custom-built by Konjo shipwrights in Kalimantan over 18 months and designed by Bruno Helgen, the schooner has earned recognition as Best Indonesian Liveaboard and was featured in CNN Travel's roundup of the world's most luxurious dive boats.

The vessel runs constantly evolving 9, 10, and 11-night itineraries across Indonesia's eastern frontier, reaching Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, Banda Sea, Triton Bay, Cenderawasih Bay, Halmahera, the Forgotten Islands, and the Bomberai Peninsula. Itineraries are planned seasonally to place the boat in optimal diving conditions for each region — one of the few liveaboards covering the full breadth of Indonesian diving.

Onboard, the space-to-guest ratio stands out. Eight individually designed Deluxe Staterooms on the lower deck each measure 20 sqm, featuring en-suite bathrooms, twin or double configuration, and intricate carved woodwork. The full-beam Master Suite occupies the aft quarters at 46 sqm — among the largest cabins on any liveaboard worldwide — with a king-size bed, ocean-view bathtub, and 180-degree stern views. Common areas include a large lounge, indoor and outdoor dining, two sun decks with loungers and hammocks, and a dedicated camera room with individual workstations and charging points. Up to four dives are offered daily including a night dive, supported by two 7-meter fiberglass tenders and a crew of 23, comprising 19 Indonesian crew, one cruise director, and four divemasters.

Booking FAQ

Booking is easy - a 25% deposit secures your spot immediately, with the remaining balance due 100 days before departure. If you're booking within 100 days of your trip, full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Popular routes book 6-12 months or even further, so we recommend securing your spot early.
