Ecopro Duyung Baru
Liveaboard in Indonesia
Duyung Baru is a 27-meter boutique Phinisi liveaboard built in 2010, accommodating just 8 guests across 4 cabins in Komodo National Park. Operated by EcoPro Divers — also active in the Maldives — the vessel runs year-round across Komodo Central, North, South, and Sumbawa itineraries. Three dives per day included. Nitrox available onboard. Rates starting from USD $327 per person per day.
Duyung Baru is operated by EcoPro Divers, a multi-destination liveaboard company with vessels in Komodo, the Maldives, and a dive resort in Bali. The Komodo vessel operates exclusively within Komodo National Park year-round — giving the team unusually deep knowledge of the region's seasonal conditions, dive sites, and less-visited corners. With just 8 guests onboard, the experience is closer to a private charter than a shared liveaboard, and the boat is available as a full private charter on request.
Four cabins accommodate up to 8 guests across two decks. The lower deck houses two double bed cabins — convertible to twin with a separator — and one dedicated twin cabin, all with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and generous storage including drawers and under-bed compartments. The main deck features one sea view cabin with double or twin configuration and its own en-suite. Common areas include a cozy indoor salon for dining, an outdoor bar and lounge with beanbags, and a sun deck with sunbeds. A camera charging and storage area is available on the main deck.
Diving is conducted from a RIB tender, with three dives per day, full-board meals, drinking water, airport transfers, and local taxes all included. Nitrox is available onboard via a membrane system with air bank, supported by dual Bauer compressors. The vessel welcomes non-divers and snorkelers, with itineraries covering Komodo Central, Central South, Central North, Komodo to Sumbawa, and a dedicated Cruise, Snorkel and Chill option. Single occupancy carries a 75% surcharge.
