Emperor Raja Laut
Liveaboard in Indonesia
Emperor Raja Laut is a 31-meter schooner-style liveaboard built from tropical hardwood, accommodating 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins — 3 double and 3 twin. Named "King of the Sea," the vessel operates 7 to 12-night itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Banda Sea, and Alor. Nitrox, park fees, port fees, and fuel surcharges are all included. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $437 per person per day.
Emperor Raja Laut is the smaller of two Indonesian vessels operated by Emperor Divers, a multi-destination liveaboard company with boats in Egypt, the Maldives, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands. Built from tropical hardwood with a schooner-inspired profile, the vessel carries just 12 guests and offers the same no-hidden-extras pricing as its fleet partner Emperor Harmoni — park fees, port fees, and fuel surcharges are all included in the published rate. All departures are listed as guaranteed regardless of guest numbers.
Six lower deck cabins accommodate 12 guests across two configurations. Three twin cabins feature bunk-style beds, and three double cabins offer double beds. All cabins are approximately 12 sqm with portholes, individually controlled air conditioning, a fan, mini-safe, and en-suite bathrooms with showers. The lower deck lounge is fully air-conditioned with a 49-inch HD flat screen, movie and music library, and board games. The upper deck features an outdoor dining area, sun loungers with and without shade, and a small internationally stocked bar. Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Two dive guides lead dives supported by two large RIBs — a 5.2m with 75HP and a 5.5m with 85HP outboards. Free nitrox up to 32% is included via a membrane system, with 12-liter tanks standard and 15-liter on request. Camera facilities include charging stations, air gun, rinse tanks, and a camera table. PADI courses from Discover Scuba to Advanced Open Water and Nitrox Specialty are available onboard. Beyond standard diving itineraries covering Raja Ampat, Komodo, the Banda Sea, and Alor-Banda Ring of Fire crossings, Raja Laut also runs a Discover Raja Ampat leisure cruise for non-diving guests and an annual Culture & Cuisine voyage with chef Tait Miller — a culinary and cultural exploration rather than a dive-focused trip.
