Komodo Sea Dragon

Liveaboard in Indonesia

4.8 (3 reviews)

Komodo Sea Dragon is a 38-meter wooden liveaboard built in 2009 and renovated in 2023, accommodating 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins in Komodo National Park. A dedicated companion dive vessel handles all diving operations, keeping the main boat quiet and clean. For the 2026/2027 season, itineraries run 5 to 8 nights within Komodo National Park. Rates starting from USD $302 per person per day.

Komodo Sea Dragon operates exclusively within Komodo National Park under the Neptune Liveaboards brand. What sets the vessel apart operationally is its dedicated companion dive boat — the Putra Sebayur — which houses the compressors, tanks, and dive deck and follows the main vessel to every site. This keeps the main liveaboard free of compressor noise and clutter, while the Putra Sebayur itself is equipped with a sun deck and toilet facilities for surface intervals. Diving operates in small groups with a 4:1 diver-to-guide ratio, covering Komodo's signature sites including Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Shotgun, and Manta Alley. Guided treks to see Komodo dragons on Komodo and Rinca islands and visits to viewpoints including Padar Island are included in itineraries.

Six cabins accommodate up to 12 guests across three configurations. Four Double Cabins measure 23 sqm each with king-size beds, convertible sofa beds for a third guest, private furnished balconies, en-suite bathrooms, writing desks, and reading lights. One Main Twin Cabin offers 18 sqm with two twin beds and sea views, and one Second Twin Cabin provides 15 sqm with twin beds and en-suite facilities. All cabins are air-conditioned with daily housekeeping. Common areas include an air-conditioned indoor salon, outdoor lounge, sun deck, and outdoor dining area. Free 4G internet, audio and video entertainment, and snorkeling equipment are available throughout.

Up to four guided dives per day are included alongside full-board meals, unlimited tea, coffee, soft drinks, cabin and diving towels, and group airport transfers. Nitrox, dive equipment rental, alcohol, and national park entrance fees are not included.

Booking FAQ

Booking is easy - a 30% deposit secures your spot immediately, with the remaining balance due 100 days before departure. If you're booking within 100 days of your trip, full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Popular routes book 6-12 months or even further, so we recommend securing your spot early.
