Mermaid II

Mermaid II is a 33-meter steel motor yacht accommodating up to 18 guests across 8 deluxe en-suite main deck cabins and 2 lower deck budget cabins. Sister vessel to Mermaid I under the award-winning Mermaid Liveaboards, the vessel runs 9 to 16-night itineraries from Bali and Sorong across Komodo, Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, Alor, and the Togian Islands. Nitrox available on every cruise. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $323 per person per day.

Mermaid II is the larger of the two steel-hulled vessels in the Mermaid Liveaboards fleet, launched in 2000 and recently upgraded with a refurbished galley with fireproof walls, improved emergency systems, new SOLAS-approved lifejackets, new mattresses throughout, refreshed saloon soft furnishings, and eco-friendly refillable toiletries — reflecting the operator's commitment to continuous annual improvements. Like Mermaid I, the vessel departs from Bali for Komodo itineraries from May through October, including a Sumbawa passage with a Saleh Bay whale shark stop. From November to April it operates Raja Ampat itineraries out of Sorong. Extended crossings of up to 16 nights connect multiple regions — Flores to Raja Ampat and similar long-haul routes — in a single expedition. Gender-neutral cabin sharing applies for solo travelers.

Eight deluxe cabins on the main deck each offer a double or twin configuration, large panoramic sea-view windows, individually controlled air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, and 300-thread-count linens. Two lower deck budget cabins have twin bunks, vanity sinks, air conditioning, and share a bathroom via an adjoining door — a practical option for groups or budget-conscious travelers. Common areas include a spacious main deck dining room serving buffet-style Asian and Western meals, a large air-conditioned saloon with multimedia entertainment system, flat-screen TV, marine library, and bar fridge. Two outdoor decks offer a choice between a fully shaded party deck with cushioned lounge seating and a forward sundeck with full sun and cushioned sun platforms. Kayaks, an onboard masseuse, a resident photo and video professional, and Starlink internet are all available.

The wide stern platform features dual exit ladders and freshwater showers. The spacious dive deck provides individual gear storage boxes, camera tables, and multiple rinse tanks, with fresh towels provided after every dive and hot chocolate served after night dives. Nitrox is available on every cruise.
