Naga Biru
Liveaboard in Indonesia
Naga Biru is a 35-meter liveaboard built in 2024 from Ulin ironwood, designed by Antonello Benedetti, accommodating up to 12 guests on shared cruises (16 on private charter) across 7 air-conditioned cabins. Operated by Komodo Dragon Liveaboards, the vessel runs itineraries across Komodo National Park, Alor, and West Komodo & Sumbawa. Complimentary nitrox for certified divers. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $386 per person per day.
Naga Biru is the flagship vessel of Komodo Dragon Liveaboards, a newer operator focused specifically on Komodo, Alor, and the Sumbawa crossing rather than the wider Indonesian archipelago. Built in 2024 from Ulin ironwood and designed by naval architect Antonello Benedetti, the vessel cruises at 10 knots with twin generators and a membrane nitrox system. The operator positions itself around safety, comfort, and well-organized logistics rather than intensive diving volume, with itineraries designed to suit both active divers and guests who prefer a more relaxed pace, including snorkeling-focused and leisure-oriented departures.
Seven cabins span three decks with five distinct categories. The Lower Deck Cabin offers around 14 sqm with a queen bed, ideal for couples or solo travelers. A Single Cabin on the upper deck at around 11 sqm provides a brighter, sea-view setting for solo travelers, priced at a premium given the smaller solo-occupancy format. The Superior Cabin on the lower deck steps up to around 20 sqm with a queen bed and a sofa bed for flexibility. The Deluxe Cabin on the main deck offers 19 sqm with king or twin configuration and a private 5 sqm balcony. The Grand Deluxe Cabin on the upper deck is the most spacious at 23 sqm, with a king or twin configuration, a sofa bed, and an expansive 16 sqm private terrace with sun loungers — the most exclusive accommodation on board. All cabins have air conditioning, a private en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water, and a writing desk.
Common areas include a dedicated camera room, a dining and living room, and an outdoor lounge and bar on the main deck, plus a sundeck on the upper deck. Diving facilities include a Coltri Sub compressor and a membrane nitrox system, with diving, snorkeling, and guided land excursions included in the rate alongside full board, espresso coffee, soft drinks, and snacks. A stand-up paddleboard and Starlink WiFi are available onboard, with complimentary airport and hotel transfers included.
