Tiaré
Liveaboard in Indonesia
Tiaré is a 36.5-meter traditional Phinisi liveaboard built between 2013 and 2016, accommodating up to 14 guests across 6 en-suite cabins. Founded and operated by five cousins with backgrounds in architecture, engineering, and cuisine, the vessel runs 7 to 14-night itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, Banda Sea, Forgotten Islands, Triton Bay, and Halmahera. Nitrox available onboard. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $610 per person per day.
Tiaré was conceived, designed, and built by five cousins sharing a passion for the sea, diving, photography, and Indonesian cuisine — and it shows in the detail. Construction took three years, with all design decisions made from the guests' perspective first. The interior and exterior living areas, decks, and cabins are finished in antique teak salvaged from old Joglos — traditional Javanese communal buildings — giving the vessel an authentic Indonesian character while reducing the use of newly harvested timber. A crew of 17 serves up to 14 guests, including two cruise managers who are also dive instructors, two dedicated divemasters, two chefs, and two stewards — one of the most comprehensive staffing structures of any Indonesian liveaboard at this capacity.
Six cabins accommodate up to 14 guests across three configurations. Four king-size cabins and two twin cabins serve couples and pairs. Two triple cabins — each with a double bed and an additional single above — accommodate families or groups of three. All cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, hair dryers, shore sets (hat, towel, suntan lotion, thermos), mosquito repellent, and 220V charging. The lounge includes an espresso machine and American coffee maker, juice extractor, ice machine, wine cellars for red and white, a fresh drink fridge, and a stereo system running to indoor and outdoor speakers. WiFi is available throughout but not guaranteed in remote areas.
A 10-meter camera table with dedicated shelving, multiple charging stations, camera benches, and a workstation with data transfer facilities makes Tiaré a well-regarded choice for underwater photographers. Each diver receives an individual ENOS beacon, and dive stations on the dedicated dive deck include personal storage and hot water showers. Nitrox is available onboard. The vessel undergoes annual dry dock in June for approximately four weeks. Park and port fees are charged separately per itinerary. For the 2026/2027 season, destinations cover Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, Flores, the Banda Sea and Forgotten Islands, Triton Bay, and Halmahera.
