Capoeng
Liveaboard a Indonesia
Capoeng is an 18-meter traditional liveaboard accommodating 8 guests across 4 shared cabins in Komodo National Park. The smallest vessel in the Scuba Republic fleet, she runs a single 3-day/2-night itinerary with up to 7 guided dives, a Komodo dragon encounter on Rinca Island, and a sunset hike. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $275 per person per day.
Capoeng is the entry-level option in the Scuba Republic fleet — the same operator behind Bajak, Jaya, and Epica, with over two decades of diving in Komodo and Raja Ampat. At 18 meters and 8 guests maximum, the boat is compact, sociable, and built around a straightforward 3-day format rather than multi-night expeditions. It suits first-time liveaboard divers, solo travelers, or anyone wanting a short, affordable taste of Komodo's dive sites without committing to a longer itinerary.
Four cabins accommodate 8 guests in a dorm-style setup — two shared bunk cabins, one twin cabin, and one dorm-style cabin, all sharing a bathroom with a western toilet and wet-room shower. Each bed has a personal charging point and night light. Communal spaces include an open deck with beanbags and a shaded top deck for relaxing between dives, with all meals freshly cooked onboard and served on deck.
Up to 7 dives are included across the 3 days — 2 dives on the first and last day and 3 on the second — covering sites including Shotgun, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Batu Bolong, Manta Point, and Siaba Besar, with a night dive at Wae Nilu. A guided Komodo dragon encounter on Rinca Island and a sunset hike to a panoramic viewpoint are included alongside the diving. A 4:1 guide ratio applies throughout.
