Sea Safari VI
Liveaboard a Indonesia
Sea Safari VI is a 36-meter traditional Phinisi liveaboard built from Ulin ironwood, accommodating 20 guests across 10 en-suite cabins on 4 decks. Part of the Sea Safari Cruises fleet operating since 1988, the vessel runs itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, Banda Sea, and Alor. Nitrox available onboard. For the 2026/2027 season, rates start from USD $360 per person per day.
Sea Safari VI is the mid-size vessel in the Sea Safari Cruises fleet, sitting between the 26-guest Cheng Ho and the 24-guest Sea Safari 8. Based in Sorong, West Papua, she is well positioned for Raja Ampat as her primary destination, with Komodo, the Banda Sea, and Alor featuring across the seasonal schedule. Like fleet partners Cheng Ho and Sea Safari 8, she was renovated in 2020 and built in-house from Ulin ironwood — a dense tropical hardwood prized for its durability in saltwater conditions. The operator's 37 years of continuous Indonesian liveaboard operations provide a strong trust base for a vessel of this category.
Ten cabins accommodate 20 guests across two configurations on the upper deck, all with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold showers. Six double cabins and four twin cabins each include air conditioning, bathrobes and towels, a safety box, and hand sanitiser. Common areas span four decks with an indoor restaurant, indoor and outdoor sofa lounge areas, a sun deck with lazy beds, a jacuzzi, a dedicated dive deck, and a camera station. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for guest use.
Diving is supported by two aluminium speedboats, an ENOS diver locator system for each diver, and EAN 32% nitrox available onboard. Navigation equipment includes Furuno GPS, Koden radar and echo sounder, EPIRB, satellite phone, and both VHF and SSB radio. For the 2026/2027 season, itineraries cover Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, the Banda Sea, and Alor.
