Coralia

Coralia is a 48-metre traditional wooden phinisi, built by the master craftsmen of Tanah Beru and carrying a maximum of 16 guests across eight cabins. She's the flagship of Coralia Liveaboards, the operator behind Coralia Dua, and consistently one of the hardest liveaboards in Indonesia to get a spot on — departures book out months in advance.

In Scuba Diving Magazine's 2026 Reader's Choice Awards, Coralia was voted #1 across four categories: Quality of Crew, Level of Safety, Best Value, and Level of Luxury. It's the kind of sweep that's hard to dismiss as one good trip — it reflects a standard held consistently across the fleet.

Diving and service

Diving runs in small groups, capped at four guests per guide, led by PADI-certified local guides and cruise directors who are also PADI instructors. Nitrox is included free of charge for certified divers, with 12-litre aluminium tanks as standard and 15-litre tanks available for a small surcharge, supporting both DIN and INT regulators. After night dives, guests come back to warm towels and Coralia's signature hot chocolate — a small detail, but one guests mention often.

Onboard, a full-width camera room on the main deck gives underwater photographers dedicated space to work, alongside an air-conditioned lounge and dining area. The sky deck and open-air lounges provide plenty of room to relax between dives, and complimentary satellite WiFi keeps guests connected where coverage allows.

Conservation, built in

Coralia operates alongside two conservation initiatives in Raja Ampat — Papua Explorers Eco Resort and the Raja Ampat SEA Centre — and sponsors a place at the SEA Centre's Dive Guide School, giving a young Papuan diver full certification, mentorship, and a path into a diving career on the reefs they grew up around.

The operator is also a partner of ReShark, a conservation initiative working to restore endangered leopard shark populations in Raja Ampat through breeding, juvenile reintroduction, and habitat monitoring. When itineraries allow, guests can visit the facility and speak with the shark care team about the recovery work firsthand. Onboard, Coralia avoids single-use plastics, uses reef-safe laundry and toiletry products, and gives each guest a reusable water bottle for the trip — practical measures rather than a marketing checklist.
