2. Coralbound's Role
2.1 Intermediary Role
Coralbound acts solely as an intermediary between you and Operators/Service Providers. We do not operate liveaboard vessels, hotels, airlines, or provide tourism services directly. For tour services and domestic flights, we partner with licensed local Destination Management Companies (DMCs) who handle bookings with airlines and service providers.
Platform Usage: Coralbound does not charge you for the basic use of the Platform. Our revenue is derived from commissions and markups paid by or added to Service Provider rates.
No Endorsement: Coralbound does not endorse any of the Operators/Service Providers and makes no representations with respect to the affordability, quality, safety, or suitability of the Operators/Service Providers, their infrastructure, equipment, vessels, or their ability to deliver services.
Display Order: The order in which information, services, or Operators are displayed on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement of any particular Operator/Service Provider. Display order may be influenced by factors including availability, pricing, popularity, commission rates, or promotional considerations.
2.2 Direct Contract
Bookings made through the Platform will constitute a direct contract between you and the Operator/Service Provider in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in each respective Booking.
2.3 Limited Responsibility
For platform-specific service failures that are directly attributable to Coralbound's platform operations, our assistance is limited to the following specific actions:
Reasonable Assistance Defined:
- Communication facilitation: Forwarding messages between customers and Operators/Service Providers
- Documentation provision: Providing booking confirmations, payment receipts, and transaction records
- Technical troubleshooting: Assisting with platform access issues or booking system problems
- Information clarification: Explaining booking terms, cancellation policies, or platform procedures
- Escalation support: Notifying Operators/Service Providers of urgent customer issues
Assistance Limitations:
- We do not provide legal advice or representation
- We cannot force Operators/Service Providers to modify their policies
- We do not arrange alternative travel accommodations
- We do not provide emergency travel assistance or concierge services

Compensation for Platform Failures: Our financial compensation is strictly limited to costs directly related to documented Coralbound platform failures, including:
Platform-Specific Issues Only:
- Booking processing errors caused by platform malfunction
- Incorrect payment processing due to platform system failures
- Data loss or corruption of confirmed booking information
- Bank transfer costs caused by platform processing errors
Compensation Limitations:
- Compensation is limited to actual documented costs directly caused by platform failures
- Maximum compensation shall not exceed the commission/markup received by Coralbound for the affected booking
- Compensation does not include consequential damages, lost opportunities, or indirect costs
- All compensation claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the platform failure
Excluded Responsibilities: Service failures, delays, cancellations, or issues caused by Operators/Service Providers remain entirely their responsibility and are not covered by Coralbound's limited assistance or compensation policy.
2.4 Group Booking Responsibility
When multiple persons are included in a single booking, the person who actually makes the reservation ("Primary Booker") constitutes the contracting party with the Operator/Service Provider. The Primary Booker accepts full responsibility for:
- Making all payments for all members of the group
- Communicating all terms and conditions to group members
- Ensuring all group members comply with Operator/Service Provider requirements
- Managing any changes, cancellations, or issues affecting the entire group
- Providing accurate information for all group members
- Being the sole authorized person to request booking modifications or changes
All group members must individually acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Coralbound is not responsible for disputes between group members regarding payment allocation, participation, or individual circumstances affecting the booking.
Large Group Benefits: Larger groups may be eligible for special charter arrangements, half-charter options, or preferential group rates. Groups of 8 or more persons should contact us directly at booking@coralbound.com for customized pricing and arrangements.
Booking Modifications: Only the Primary Booker may request changes to confirmed bookings. While Coralbound will assist in communicating change requests to Operators/Service Providers, all modifications are subject to Operator/Service Provider approval and their change/cancellation policies. Change fees, cancellation charges, and availability restrictions are determined by the Operator/Service Provider, not Coralbound.
2.5 Booking Availability and Confirmation Process
Non-Live Availability: Bookings made through the Coralbound Platform are subject to availability of requested services by Operators/Service Providers. The availability displayed on the Platform is not live in real-time, therefore confirmation from the Operator/Service Provider will be required once a booking is made.
Confirmation Timeline: Booking confirmation may take 24 to 48 hours. Bookings are only confirmed once a confirmation email including a confirmation invoice or voucher has been sent to you and required deposit payment has been received.
Related Travel Arrangements: Coralbound strongly advises you to make other related travel arrangements, including but not limited to flight bookings, only after your booking is confirmed by the Operator/Service Provider.
Temporary Hold System: When a reservation is made on the Platform, it may be initially placed under a temporary hold. The duration of this hold varies based on specific terms and conditions of each Operator/Service Provider. The hold may be removed at the discretion of Coralbound agents and/or in accordance with the Operator's terms, particularly if deposit payment is not received on time.
Additional Information Requirements: In some cases, additional information is required to complete bookings, including but not limited to:
- Passport copies
- Evidence of travel insurance
- Health certificates or medical clearances
- Diving certification documentation
- Emergency contact information
Information Deadline: You are required to provide this information as detailed as possible within 12 hours of making the booking for all guests covered under the booking, and/or as required by the Operator/Service Provider.
Cancellation for Missing Information: Coralbound and/or the Operator/Service Provider hold the right to cancel bookings if required information is not provided by you or is provided too late.
3. Client Responsibilities and Requirements
3.1 Guest Standards and Requirements Responsibility
By making a Booking, you agree to be responsible for reviewing and ensuring compliance with all standards and requirements set by the Operator/Service Provider, and ensuring that all guests adhere to these requirements. Requirements differ per Operator and per service type, but may include:

3.2 Arrival and Transportation Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring all guests arrive at the designated departure location (port, airport, hotel, or meeting point) at the date and time specified in your Booking confirmation.
Late Arrival Consequences: If any guest fails to reach the departure location by the scheduled time, you will be responsible for all associated costs, including but not limited to:
- Catching up with liveaboards or tours if locally possible to arrange
- Additional accommodation costs for missed connections
- Alternative transportation arrangements
- Rebooking fees for missed flights or services
- Any unused portions of the original booking
Travel Assistance Limitation: Upon request, we can provide suggestions for airlines, hotels, and transfer options, but we hold no affiliation with these companies and cannot be held accountable for their services. We cannot provide assistance with passport, visa, or health requirements set by any country or Operator.
3.3 Compliance with Operator Rules and Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring all guests adhere to rules and requirements imposed by Operators/Service Providers, including:
Onboard Rules: All vessel rules, safety regulations, and operational procedures Activity Requirements: Diving safety protocols, equipment usage, and participation guidelines Behavioral Standards: Respectful conduct toward crew, guides, and other guests Environmental Policies: Marine conservation rules and local environmental regulations
Operator Authority: If any guest fails to comply with Operator rules or requirements, the Operator (or vessel captain) has the absolute right to:
- Deny boarding or entry to accommodations
- Exclude guests from diving activities or other services
- Remove guests from vessels or accommodations
- Terminate services without refund
No Platform Liability: Coralbound is not responsible for Operator decisions regarding guest compliance or service termination due to rule violations.
4. Diving Requirements and Safety
4.1 Mandatory Insurance
IMPORTANT: Diving destinations served by Coralbound require adequate diving insurance for all scuba diving activities. You are legally responsible for obtaining coverage including diving accidents, hyperbaric chamber treatments, and emergency evacuation. Hyperbaric chamber availability varies by destination and may be limited or unavailable in remote locations.
4.2 Certification and Medical Requirements
For diving services, you are responsible for meeting the minimum requirements set by Operators, including:
- Valid diving certification from recognized organizations (PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.)
- Minimum diving experience appropriate to trip level
- Completed and signed diving medical statement form
- Medical clearance letter from physician (if required based on medical conditions)
- Signed liability release forms
Medical Statement Procedures:
- All divers must complete standard diving medical statement forms
- If any medical conditions are answered "YES", medical consultation with a physician is required
- Physician must either sign the medical statement after consultation OR provide separate fitness-to-dive medical clearance
- Medical documentation must be submitted to Operators before diving activities commence
For Domestic Flights: Flight bookings are subject to airline terms and conditions. You are responsible for:
- Arriving at the airport with sufficient time before departure (typically 2-3 hours for domestic flights)
- Carrying valid photo identification as required by aviation authorities
- Complying with airline baggage restrictions and policies
- Understanding that flight schedules may change due to operational requirements
For hotel and tour services, specific requirements will be communicated by respective Service Providers.
4.3 Risk Disclosure
Diving and adventure activities involve inherent risks. Travel advisories note that diving operations in remote destinations may have limited safety oversight and emergency medical facilities are often restricted, particularly at remote locations. Coralbound accepts no liability for safety standards, inspection frequency, staff certification levels, or emergency response capabilities at any destination.
4.4 Travel Document and Entry Requirements Responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you meet all foreign entry requirements for your travel destinations and that your travel documents are in order, including:
- Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity from travel date
- Required visas for all countries of travel and transit
- International diving certifications and documentation
- Health certificates or vaccinations as required by destination countries
- Travel insurance documentation meeting destination requirements
Coralbound provides general travel information for guidance only. Entry requirements can change without notice, and you must verify current requirements with relevant embassies or consulates. Failure to possess proper documentation resulting in denied entry, missed services, or additional costs remains your sole responsibility.
4.5 Medical Fitness Disclosure Requirements
For Diving Activities: You must notify us and the Operator within 12 hours of booking if you:
- Have medical conditions requiring physician evaluation for diving
- Take medications that could affect diving ability
- Have history of ear, lung, heart, or other diving-relevant conditions
- Have previous diving accident or decompression experience
For All Activities: You must disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, dietary requirements, or other special needs that could affect your safety or participation in booked services. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in:
- Denial of participation in activities
- Forfeiture of payments for unused services
- Additional medical or evacuation costs at your expense
4.6 Age Restrictions for Activities
Different activities may have specific age requirements set by Operators:
- Diving Activities: Minimum age requirements vary by certification level and operator policy (typically 10-16 years minimum)
- Liveaboard Trips: Many operators require minimum age of 12-16 years due to safety and operational considerations
- Advanced Diving: Deep diving, night diving, and technical diving may have higher age requirements
Age restrictions are determined by individual Operators and must be verified before booking. Proof of age may be required at check-in. Operators reserve the right to refuse participation if age requirements are not met, and no refunds will be provided for age-related exclusions that were clearly stated in booking terms.
4.7 Travel Insurance Recommendations
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Coralbound strongly recommends that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes:
- Trip cancellation and interruption coverage for medical emergencies, family emergencies, or unexpected personal circumstances
- Medical coverage including emergency medical treatment and evacuation
- Diving-specific coverage for decompression chamber treatment and diving accidents
- Natural disaster and weather-related coverage including volcanic activity, severe weather, and force majeure events
- Visa denial coverage if applicable to your travel plans
Special Circumstances: Travel insurance is particularly important for coverage of situations that may arise after booking, including:
- Pregnancy complications or medical condition developments
- Family emergencies requiring trip cancellation
- Visa denials or passport issues
- Natural disasters affecting travel destinations
- Volcanic activity or severe weather disruptions
Platform Limitation: While Coralbound will provide reasonable assistance and help mediate with Operators/Service Providers regarding coverage situations, your primary contract remains with the Operator/Service Provider. Travel insurance provides important financial protection that Coralbound cannot offer.
Force Majeure Events: Natural disasters, volcanic activity, severe weather, and other force majeure events are typically covered by comprehensive travel insurance but may not be covered under standard Operator cancellation policies.
4.8 Insurance Documentation and Requirements
Mandatory Insurance Documentation: You must provide complete insurance details to Operators before service commencement, including:
- Insurance provider name and 24-hour contact information
- Policy number and coverage effective dates
- Coverage limits for medical, evacuation, and diving-specific incidents
- Emergency contact procedures for claims and authorization
Diving Insurance Specifics: Diving insurance must include coverage for:
- Decompression chamber treatment (minimum USD 100,000 recommended)
- Emergency medical evacuation from remote locations
- Diving accident medical treatment and hospitalization
- Medical repatriation to home country if required
Verification Requirements: Insurance documentation must be provided at check-in and may be verified with insurance providers. Operators may refuse service if adequate insurance cannot be confirmed. Self-insurance declarations are not acceptable for high-risk activities.
Coverage Recommendations: For remote destinations, we recommend minimum coverage of USD 250,000 for medical expenses and USD 1,000,000 for emergency evacuation.
5. Payment Processing
5.1 Payment Methods and Deposit Requirements
Deposit Payment: A deposit payment is due on the date of booking confirmation. The deposit amount varies by Operator/Service Provider and will be clearly stated during the booking process. Full payment may be required for:
- Last-minute bookings (typically within 30-60 days of departure)
- Operators requiring full payment at time of booking
- Certain promotional rates or special offers
Payment Completion: The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule specified by the Operator/Service Provider, typically 30-90 days before departure. Until full payment is received, the Operator can cancel your booking, or we may cancel the booking on behalf of the Operator.
Available Payment Methods: Payments may be made via:
- International wire transfer (USD)
- Local wire transfer in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) via services like Wise, Revolut, or other international money transfer services
- Credit card (all major cards) through Xendit or Stripe payment processors (processed in Indonesian Rupiah - IDR)
- Other online payment methods as available
Credit Card Payment Processing: Credit card payments through Xendit or Stripe are processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). While prices may be quoted to you in your local currency for convenience, the actual payment will be processed in IDR and converted by your credit card provider or bank. Additional currency conversion fees may apply and will be charged by your financial institution, not by Coralbound.
Local Wire Transfer Option: Customers may also send local wire transfers in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) using international money transfer services such as Wise, Revolut, or similar platforms. This option may offer more favorable exchange rates compared to credit card currency conversion. Transfer fees charged by these services are the customer's responsibility.
Payment Processing Costs: We reserve the right to charge costs incurred for payments that are not performed correctly, including credit card chargebacks, failed bank transfers, or payment disputes. We rely on partner banks and payment service providers for processing services and cannot be held responsible for their performance or availability.
5.2 Payment Confirmation and Documentation
Payment Confirmation: After payment is received, we will send a booking voucher to the email address you provided. This voucher serves as:
- Proof of your confirmed booking
- Invoice for your records
- Required documentation for check-in
Documentation Requirements: Please bring a copy (digital or physical) of your booking voucher when checking in for services and retain a copy for future reference.
5.3 Currency and Pricing
Payment Currency:
- International wire transfers: Payable in USD (US Dollar)
- Local wire transfers: Payable in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) via services like Wise, Revolut, or similar platforms
- Credit card payments: Processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) through payment processors, regardless of currency displayed during booking
Base Currency Display: All rates are primarily displayed in USD (US Dollar), though credit card payments will be processed in IDR.
Credit Card Currency Processing: When paying by credit card through Xendit or Stripe:
- Payment is processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)
- Prices may be quoted in your local currency for reference
- Your credit card company or bank will handle currency conversion from IDR
- Conversion rates and fees are determined by your financial institution
- Coralbound receives payment in IDR regardless of your display currency
Currency Conversion Disclaimer: Currency conversion rates displayed on the Platform are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as accurate or real-time. For credit card payments, actual exchange rates applied to your transaction are determined by your payment provider when converting from IDR to your billing currency.

Refund Currency:
- International wire transfer refunds will be made in USD
- Local wire transfer refunds will be made in IDR
- Credit card refunds will be processed in IDR and converted by your card provider
5.4 Pricing Inclusions and Additional Charges
Service Pricing Structure: Unless otherwise indicated in the Operator/Service Provider terms, all rates and prices listed on the Platform include the cost of the base service. Mandatory surcharges, taxes, and levies may be excluded from listed prices unless specifically indicated otherwise.
Excluded Surcharges: Unless indicated otherwise, mandatory surcharges are typically not included in Platform pricing, including but not limited to:
- Marine park entrance fees and conservation charges
- Boat dive surcharges and special dive supplements
- Night dive fees and specialty diving charges
- Dive equipment beyond basic gear (tanks, weights, weight belts typically included)
- Government taxes and departure fees
- Fuel surcharges for remote locations
Surcharge Disclosure: Taxes, levies, and surcharges ("Surcharges"), if applicable, are indicated on the Platform during the checkout process for informational purposes.
Post-Booking Surcharge Changes: These surcharges may be subject to change after booking completion based on changes in local conditions beyond Coralbound's control, including:
- Government regulation changes
- Marine park fee adjustments
- Environmental levy modifications
- Currency fluctuation impacts
- Fuel cost variations
No Cancellation Rights for Surcharge Changes: A change in surcharges does not give you the right to cancel a booking or claim a refund from Coralbound or the Operator/Service Provider.
5.5 Promotional Codes and Discounts
Promo Code Availability: Promotional codes may be applicable to qualifying services on the Coralbound Platform. Instructions on how to redeem promotional codes and the specific terms related to each code may vary and will be set out in applicable terms.
Modification Rights: We reserve the right to modify or cancel promotional codes at any time without prior notice.
Operator Confirmation Required: Any promotional discount applied must be confirmed by the Operator/Service Provider. Operators have final authority over honoring promotional pricing.
Special Offers: Periodically, Coralbound may introduce special offers related to services available on the Platform, each governed by distinct payment and cancellation terms. Customers are advised to carefully review and fully understand the terms and conditions presented during the booking process.
Promotion Variations: Promotion details vary for each promotion. The terms of promotions are determined by the Operator and may differ from the Operators' normal terms and conditions.
Retroactive Restrictions: Current promotions may not be applied to previously confirmed bookings.
Coralbound vs. Operator Promotions: Some promotional codes are issued directly by Coralbound (funded from our commission/markup), while others may be issued by Operators/Service Providers. The source and terms will be clearly indicated for each promotion.
5.6 Foreign Exchange Regulations
International wire transfers are subject to Indonesian foreign exchange regulations. Transactions may require additional documentation above regulatory thresholds. Currency conversion rates and intermediary bank fees will be disclosed before transaction completion.
5.7 Fee Disclosures
All fees will be disclosed including merchant discount rates, third-party processor fees (Xendit, Stripe), foreign exchange conversion costs, correspondent bank charges, and settlement timing.
5.8 Currency Conversion and Exchange Rate Disclaimers
Currency conversion rates displayed on the Platform are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as accurate or real-time. Actual exchange rates applied to your transaction may vary and are determined at the time of payment processing.
Important Disclaimers:
- Exchange rates fluctuate continuously and may change between booking and payment
- Bank or payment processor exchange rates may differ from rates displayed
- Additional currency conversion fees may apply through your financial institution
- Refunds will be processed at the exchange rate applicable at the time of refund, not original booking
For international transactions, we strongly recommend confirming final amounts in your local currency with your bank or payment provider before completing payment.
5.9 Pricing Errors and Manifest Errors
While we strive for accuracy, pricing or other errors may occasionally occur on the Platform. We reserve the right to correct manifest errors, including but not limited to:
- Obviously incorrect pricing (e.g., $1 for a week-long liveaboard)
- Typographical errors in service descriptions
- Incorrect availability information
- System-generated pricing errors
If a manifest error is discovered after booking confirmation, we will:
- Contact you immediately to explain the error
- Offer you the correct pricing or cancel the booking with full refund
- Not be obligated to honor manifestly incorrect pricing
Coralbound is not liable for any losses or damages resulting from pricing corrections or booking cancellations due to manifest errors.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Booking Amendments
Amendment Approval: Any modifications to confirmed bookings are subject to Operator/Service Provider approval and their specific terms and conditions. The option to modify a confirmed booking is not guaranteed.
Amendment Request Process: You are required to contact us in writing via email at booking@coralbound.com, including details of the amendments you require. We will then communicate your request to the relevant Operator/Service Provider.
Operator Authority: Any changes or modifications to bookings must be mutually agreed upon and accepted by the Operator/Service Provider, contingent upon availability. Ultimately it is the Operator/Service Provider that determines:
- Whether any amendment can be made
- If amendment fees are applicable and their amounts
- Whether amendments can be made free of charge
- Alternative options if requested changes are unavailable
Amendment Limitations: Amendment requests are subject to:
- Service availability at requested new dates
- Operator policy restrictions
- Seasonal limitations and peak period restrictions
- Price differences for alternative arrangements
- Time restrictions (some operators require advance notice)
No Platform Control: Coralbound facilitates amendment requests but cannot guarantee acceptance or override Operator/Service Provider policies regarding modifications.
6.2 Cancellation Policies
Service Provider Control: Each Operator/Service Provider sets their own cancellation and amendment policies, and therefore different policies may apply to services booked through the Platform. By making a booking, you agree to the specific cancellation policy of the relevant Operator/Service Provider.
Policy Review Requirement: We strongly encourage you to carefully review the Operator/Service Provider's terms, including but not limited to their cancellation policy, before completing your booking.
Refund Processing: To process any refund, Coralbound requires confirmation from the Operator/Service Provider to proceed with such refund. We cannot process refunds without operator authorization.
No-Show Policy: A no-show for any booked trip, course, accommodation, flight, or activity is treated the same as a cancellation made on the day of service. No refunds apply for no-show situations unless specifically covered under the Operator's force majeure policy.
Operator Decision Authority: It is ultimately up to the Operators/Service Providers, which are independent businesses from Coralbound, to make their own decisions on offering refunds or rescheduling options outside of their standard terms and conditions, including but not limited to:
- Supplier cancellations
- Force majeure events
- Weather-related disruptions
- Equipment failures or safety issues
- Government regulation changes
- Health and safety emergencies
Communication Requirements: To avoid misunderstandings and ensure proper documentation, we require all amendment and cancellation requests to be made via email to booking@coralbound.com. Requests made through other channels may experience delays or may not be processed.
Platform Role: Coralbound acts as facilitator for amendments and cancellations but cannot override Operator policies, guarantee specific outcomes, or authorize refunds without operator consent.
6.3 Service-Specific Cancellation Terms
Flight-Specific Amendment and Cancellation Terms:
- Domestic flights are subject to airline cancellation policies which may be more restrictive than other services
- Many domestic flight tickets are non-refundable or carry high cancellation fees
- Schedule changes by airlines may allow rebooking but typically do not permit full refunds
- Name changes on flight bookings may incur additional airline fees or may not be permitted
- Date changes subject to availability and fare difference payments
Liveaboard-Specific Terms:
- Liveaboard amendments typically require longer advance notice (30-90 days)
- Peak season changes may be subject to availability limitations
- Cabin category changes subject to availability and price differences
Hotel and Tour Amendment Terms:
- Seasonal restrictions may apply to date changes
- Group size changes may affect pricing and availability
- Service modifications subject to operator capabilities and additional costs
6.4 Administration Fee
In case of refund (partial or full), Coralbound reserves the right to apply a 5% administration fee on the total invoice amount to cover credit card processing fees, payment processor charges (Xendit, Stripe), and bank transfer costs incurred, in addition to the cancellation policy stated by the Operator/Service Provider.
6.5 Force Majeure and Special Circumstances
Operator Cancellation Rights: Operators and Service Providers reserve the right to cancel bookings or suggest providing services at alternative dates when conditions make it unsafe or impractical to provide services at the date(s) specified in the booking confirmation.
Covered Circumstances: Force majeure events include but are not limited to:
- Weather conditions: Poor weather, storms, extreme wind, dangerous sea conditions
- Natural disasters: Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, landslides, fires
- Severe weather events: Tornadoes, hurricanes, cyclones, monsoons
- Acts of God: Natural phenomena beyond human control
- Political and social events: Acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, political instability
- Health emergencies: Pandemics, epidemics, disease outbreaks, quarantine requirements
- Government actions: Emergency declarations, travel restrictions, border closures, lockdowns resulting from health emergencies
- Infrastructure failures: Port closures, airport shutdowns, transportation disruptions
- Marine conditions: Dangerous currents, marine life threats, water quality issues
Operator Decision Authority: Service Providers are independent businesses from Coralbound and have the right and responsibility to make their own decisions regarding:
- Offering refunds for force majeure cancellations
- Providing rescheduling options when cancellations are necessary
- Determining what constitutes unsafe or impractical conditions
- Alternative arrangements or compensation for disrupted services
Refund Limitations: If a refund applies in relation to a canceled booking due to force majeure, the amounts to be paid or reimbursed by Coralbound shall be limited to the actual amounts paid by you to Coralbound in relation to the canceled booking. We will only refund what we actually received for the specific canceled service.
Excluded Costs: Coralbound shall not be held responsible for indirect or ancillary costs including but not limited to:
- Airfare and flight costs (whether already purchased or additional rebooking fees)
- Hotel accommodation costs outside the canceled booking
- Ground transportation and transfer costs
- Travel insurance premiums
- Lost wages or vacation time
- Additional meal and accommodation costs due to delays
- Alternative arrangement costs made independently
- Opportunity costs or other consequential expenses
Travel Insurance Recommendation: Coralbound strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive private travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, and additional expenses due to force majeure events. Travel insurance can provide protection for costs that are specifically excluded from operator and platform refund policies.
6.6 Late Arrival and No-Show Policy
If you are delayed in transit and fail to reach your liveaboard, hotel, tour location, or flight departure by the scheduled time, you are responsible for all costs associated with:
- Continuing your trip or making alternative arrangements
- Additional transportation to rejoin your scheduled services
- Any unused portions of your booking that cannot be recovered
- Rebooking fees for alternative services
Critical for Liveaboards: Due to the nature of liveaboard operations with fixed departure schedules and remote locations, passengers who miss departure times may not be able to join the trip. No refunds will be provided for missed liveaboard departures unless covered under force majeure provisions.
Critical for Flights: Airlines operate on strict departure schedules. Passengers who miss check-in deadlines or arrive late at the gate will not be permitted to board. No refunds will be provided for missed flights due to late arrival, and rebooking will be subject to airline policies and fees.
Operators and Service Providers are not obligated to modify schedules, provide refunds, or arrange alternative services for late arrivals unless specifically agreed in writing at time of booking.
6.7 Service Substitution Rights
Operators and Service Providers reserve the right to substitute vessels, accommodations, tour components, or flights with alternatives of similar or higher standard when necessary due to:
- Technical or safety issues with originally scheduled equipment
- Weather or environmental conditions
- Regulatory or operational requirements
- Force majeure events
For Liveaboards: Operators may substitute the scheduled vessel with another vessel offering similar standards, amenities, and itinerary, provided that safety and comfort levels are maintained. Route modifications may be necessary for safety or regulatory compliance.
For Flights: Airlines may substitute aircraft types, change departure times, or modify routes due to operational requirements. While airlines will attempt to maintain similar departure times and routing, passengers must accept schedule changes within reasonable limits.
Significant downgrades in accommodation standard, major itinerary changes, or substantial flight schedule modifications (more than 4 hours) will entitle you to compensation or alternative arrangements as determined by the Operator's or airline's terms. Minor substitutions for equivalent or superior services do not constitute grounds for refunds or compensation.
7. Third-Party Distribution Channels
7.1 Third-Party Booking Compliance
Services available on the Coralbound Platform may also be made available for booking via third-party distribution channels. When bookings are made through such channels, you are expected to comply with both these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions of the third-party distribution channel where the booking was performed, as applicable.
Dual Compliance: Both sets of terms apply simultaneously, and the more restrictive terms will govern in case of conflicts.
8. Personal Data Protection
8.1 Data Protection Compliance
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction. We will respond to access, rectification, and restriction requests in a timely manner.
8.2 Data Subject Rights
You have the right to:
- Information about data processing
- Access to personal data
- Rectification of errors
- Erasure/deletion (where applicable)
- Withdrawal of consent
- Object to automated decision-making
- Restrict processing
- Data portability (where applicable)
8.3 Data Breach Notification
We will notify you promptly if a data breach occurs affecting your personal information, in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
9.1 Service-Related Complaints
Direct Communication with Operators: If you or any guest have questions or complaints regarding any aspect of liveaboard trips, diving services, hotels, tours, or flights, please contact the Operator/Service Provider directly as soon as possible. Commission/Markup Calculation: For the purposes of liability limitation, "commission/markup" means:
- For commission-based services (some liveaboards): The commission percentage paid by the Service Provider
