Aqua Blu ist eine 60-Meter-Luxus-Expeditionsyacht für 30 Gäste auf 15 individuell gestalteten Suiten auf 5 Decks, betrieben von Aqua Expeditions. Ursprünglich 1968 als britisches Marine-Vermessungsschiff HMS Beagle gebaut und 2019 umfassend renoviert, bietet das Schiff 7- bis 14-Nächte-Routen durch Komodo, Raja Ampat, die Gewürzinseln, Asmat und West-Papua. Tauchen, Schnorcheln, Kajakfahren und geführte Wanderungen sind inklusive. Für die Saison 2026/2027 beginnen die Raten ab 1.300 USD pro Person und Tag.
Aqua Blu ist eine Kategorie für sich auf dem indonesischen Liveaboard-Markt. Ursprünglich 1968 als HMS Beagle für die britische Royal Navy gebaut – derselbe Name wie Charles Darwins historisches Vermessungsschiff – wurde sie 2002 zu einer Privatyacht umgebaut und 2019 unter Aqua Expeditions zur heutigen Expeditionsyacht umgebaut, mit Interieurs des niederländischen Yachtdesigners Cor D. Rover und Küche des australischen Kochs Benjamin Cross. Aqua Expeditions betreibt eine globale Flotte von kleinen Expeditionsschiffen – sowohl auf See als auch auf Flüssen – in Indonesien, Peru (Amazonas), auf den Galapagosinseln, den Seychellen, in der Arktis und in Südostasien (Mekong). Aqua Blu ist ihr indonesisches Flaggschiff und die einzige Langstrecken-Expeditionsyacht, die dauerhaft in Ostindonesien stationiert ist, konform mit RINA-, SOLAS- und ISM-Klassifizierungen und ausgestattet mit Quantum Zero Speed-Stabilisatoren für Komfort unter allen Seebedingungen. Vier 660-PS-Lister-Blackstone-Motoren verleihen ihr eine Reisegeschwindigkeit von 10–12 Knoten über eine Reichweite, die die gesamte Breite Ost-Indonesiens abdeckt.
Fünfzehn individuell gestaltete Suiten in drei Kategorien verteilen sich auf fünf Decks. Suiten der Kategorie I haben eine durchschnittliche Größe von 25–34 qm und umfassen die größten Kabinen an Bord – einige mit zweistöckigem Grundriss, begehbaren Kleiderschränken, Sofas und übergroßen Bädern, einige mit Badewannen. Suiten der Kategorie II haben eine durchschnittliche Größe von 24 qm mit großen Fenstern oder Bullaugen und großzügigem Wohnraum. Suiten der Kategorie III mit etwa 14 qm sind die kompaktesten, geeignet für Alleinreisende oder Teenager, jeweils mit zwei Bullaugen und gut ausgestatteten Bädern. Alle Suiten sind zur Meerseite ausgerichtet mit Kingsize- oder Twin-Betten, Regenduschen, Nespresso-Maschinen, elektronischen Safes und Bio-Badezimmerartikeln. Die Kabinen 301 und 302 können zu einer Suite mit zwei Räumen verbunden werden; die Kabinen 401 und 402 verbinden sich zu einer Suite auf dem Oberdeck mit direktem Zugang zur Brücke. Gemeinschaftsbereiche erstrecken sich über fünf Decks und umfassen einen Innen-Salon und Speisesaal, eine Innen- und Außenbar, eine Sky-Lounge-Bar, ein Beobachtungsdeck, einen Außenjacuzzi, einen Spa- und Massageraum, einen Outdoor-Trainingsbereich, eine Bibliothek mit Fernseher und ein Sonnendeck.
Alle Mahlzeiten, alkoholfreie Getränke, Hausweine und Bier, Wäscheservice, Highspeed-WLAN und Gruppentransfers sind inbegriffen. Ausflüge auf allen Routen umfassen Tauchen, Schnorcheln, Kajakfahren, Stand-Up-Paddling und geführte Wanderungen, geleitet von drei Bord-Naturführern, darunter ein Tauchguide. Die Küche wird von Chefkoch Benjamin Cross betreut, dessen 20-jährige Karriere Michelin-Sterne-Restaurants in Australien, den USA und Spanien umfasst, mit Menüs, die auf dem Gewürzhandelserbe Indonesiens und frisch bezogenen lokalen Produkten basieren. Die Routen wechseln saisonal zwischen Bali und dem Komodo-Nationalpark, den Ambon- und Gewürzinseln, Raja Ampat und West-Papua. Ende 2026 betreibt Aqua Blu zwei Sonderreisen mit National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.

Cabin 402 is a 30 sqm Category I cabin on the bridge deck, featuring a double bed, a separate sitting room with a sofa, side table, and two armchairs, large windows, and a compact en-suite bathroom with a large shower. A sofa bed accommodates a third guest, up to a maximum capacity of 3. This is one of the vessel's largest cabins, with direct access to the bridge deck area. Cabins 401 and 402 can be joined to form a two-room suite at the top of the ship with direct deck access to the bridge.
