Malayeka ist ein 41,44 Meter langes traditionelles Phinisi Liveaboard gebaut in Bulukumba, Süd-Sulawesi im Jahr 2014 und als neueste Ergänzung der Lotus Journey Flotte nach einer umfassenden Renovierung im Jahr 2026 in Betrieb genommen, die Platz für 16 Gäste in 8 Kabinen mit eigenem Bad bietet. Als reines Tauchschiff fährt es Routen durch Raja Ampat, Komodo, Banda Sea, Alor, Triton Bay und Nord-Halmahera. Nitrox inklusive. Für die Saison 2026/2027 beginnen die Raten ab 430 USD pro Person und Tag.
Malayeka ist Teil von Lotus Journey, einer Boutique-Kollektion von Öko-Tauchresorts und Liveaboards in ganz Indonesien, darunter Lotus Papua Paradise (Überwasser-Bungalows auf Birie Island, Raja Ampat), Lotus Gangga Island (Nord-Sulawesi), Lotus Metita Island, Lotus Bungalows Candidasa (Bali) und Lotus Almarik auf Gili Trawangan – jedes betrieben als PADI 5-Sterne-Tauchresort mit eigenem Gangga Divers Tauchcenter. Gebaut im Jahr 2014 von den renommierten Bootsbauern von Bulukumba und 2026 umfassend renoviert, gesellt sich Malayeka zu seinem Flottenpartner Malaillo als zweites dediziertes Liveaboard der Gruppe und kombiniert traditionelle Phinisi-Handwerkskunst mit vollmodernisierten Taucheinrichtungen und Sicherheitssystemen. Lotus Divers unterhält an Bord ein Verhältnis von 1:4 Guides zu Tauchern und folgt denselben internationalen Tauchsicherheitsstandards, die für die Resort-Tauchcenter der Gruppe gelten.
Acht Kabinen bieten Platz für 16 Gäste auf drei Decks. Vier Doppelkabinen befinden sich auf dem Unterdeck, neben zwei Kabinen mit Etagenbetten, die je nach Verfügbarkeit auch zur Einzelnutzung ohne Aufpreis gebucht werden können. Zwei weitere Doppelkabinen befinden sich auf dem Oberdeck. Alle Kabinen verfügen über ein eigenes Bad mit Warm- und Kaltwasserduschen, Klimaanlage, Schreibtisch, Kleiderschrank, Stauraum, Leselampen und Steckdosen. Zu den Gemeinschaftsbereichen gehören ein Innenrestaurant und eine Lounge, ein spezieller klimatisierter Kameraraum mit geräumigen Arbeitsplätzen und internationalen Steckdosen, ein Sonnendeck mit Liegestühlen und Sitzsäcken zum Sternenbeobachten und für Sonnenuntergänge sowie ein spezielles Tauchdeck.
Das Tauchdeck bietet individuelle Stationen für jeden Gast, mit zwei Außenduschen und einer Gemeinschaftstoilette, unterstützt von zwei Bauer PE200 Kompressoren und einem Renner Nitrox-Membransystem. Die Tanks sind 12-Liter-Aluminiumtanks in INT- und DIN-Konfigurationen, 15-Liter-Tanks sind auf Anfrage erhältlich. Zwei 7-Meter-Aluminium-Beiboote mit jeweils Yamaha 100 PS Viertaktmotoren übernehmen den Transfer zu den Tauchplätzen. Die Sicherheitsausrüstung umfasst vier Rettungsinseln für insgesamt 60 Personen, Rauch- und Wärmeentwicklungsdetektoren, CO2-Lecksensoren, ein ENOS-Tauchbojen-System und Starlink-Internet mit Satellitentelefon-Backup. Vollpension beinhaltet Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen im Buffetstil mit indonesischer, asiatischer und internationaler Küche, plus ein Barbecue-Abendessen bei jeder Kreuzfahrt. Wasser, Kaffee, Tee und Saft sind kostenlos; Softdrinks, Bier, Wein und Spirituosen sind käuflich zu erwerben, ohne Korkgeld für mitgebrachte zollfreie Alkoholika der Gäste.
