Aqua Blu is een 60 meter lange luxe expeditiejacht met plaats voor 30 gasten verdeeld over 15 individueel ontworpen suites op 5 dekken, geëxploiteerd door Aqua Expeditions. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd als het Britse Royal Navy onderzoeksschip HMS Beagle in 1968 en in 2019 volledig gerenoveerd, vaart het schip 7 tot 14 nachten durende routes door Komodo, Raja Ampat, de Specerijeneilanden, Asmat en West-Papoea. Duiken, snorkelen, kajakken en begeleide wandelingen zijn allemaal inbegrepen. Voor het seizoen 2026/2027, beginnen de tarieven vanaf USD $1.300 per persoon per dag.
Aqua Blu is een klasse apart op de Indonesische liveaboardmarkt. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd als HMS Beagle voor de Britse Royal Navy in 1968 — dezelfde naam als het historische onderzoeksschip van Charles Darwin — werd ze in 2002 omgebouwd tot een privéjacht en in 2019 onder Aqua Expeditions gerenoveerd tot het expeditiejacht dat ze vandaag de dag is, met interieurs van de Nederlandse jachtontwerper Cor D. Rover en gerechten van de Australische chef-kok Benjamin Cross. Aqua Expeditions exploiteert een wereldwijde vloot van kleine expeditievaartuigen — zowel op zee als op rivieren — in Indonesië, Peru (Amazone), de Galapagos, de Seychellen, het Arctisch gebied en Zuidoost-Azië (Mekong). Aqua Blu is hun Indonesische vlaggenschip en het enige langeafstandsexpeditieschip dat permanent in Oost-Indonesië is gestationeerd, voldoet aan de RINA-, SOLAS- en ISM-classificaties en is uitgerust met Quantum Zero Speed stabilisatoren voor comfort in elke zeetoestand. Vier Lister Blackstone motoren van 660 pk geven een kruissnelheid van 10-12 knopen over een bereik dat de volledige breedte van Oost-Indonesië bestrijkt.
Vijftien individueel ontworpen suites in drie categorieën verspreiden zich over vijf dekken. Categorie I suites zijn gemiddeld 25-34 m² en omvatten de grootste hutten aan boord — verschillende met split-level indeling, inloopkasten, sofa's en extra grote badkamers, sommige met badkuipen. Categorie II suites zijn gemiddeld 24 m² met grote ramen of patrijspoorten en royale leefruimte. Categorie III suites van ongeveer 14 m² zijn het meest compact, geschikt voor soloreizigers of tieners, elk met twee patrijspoorten en goed uitgeruste badkamers. Alle suites zijn aan de oceaan gelegen met kingsize of twin bedden, regendouches, Nespresso-apparaten, elektronische kluizen en biologische badproducten. Hutten 301 en 302 kunnen worden samengevoegd tot een suite met twee kamers; hutten 401 en 402 verbinden om een suite op het bovendek te creëren met directe toegang tot de brug. Gemeenschappelijke ruimtes beslaan vijf dekken en omvatten een binnensalon en eetkamer, een binnen- en buitenbar, een sky lounge bar, een observatiedek, een buitenzwembad, een spa- en massageruimte, een buitenfitnessruimte, een bibliotheek met tv en een zonnedek.
Alle maaltijden, non-alcoholische dranken, huiswijnen en bier, wasserette, high-speed WiFi en groepstransfers zijn inbegrepen. Excursies tijdens alle routes omvatten duiken, snorkelen, kajakken, stand-up paddleboarding en begeleide wandelingen, geleid door drie natuurgidsen aan boord, waaronder een duikgids. De keuken staat onder toezicht van chef-kok Benjamin Cross, wiens 20-jarige carrière zich uitstrekt over Michelin-sterrenrestaurants in Australië, de VS en Spanje, met menu's die putten uit het kruidenhandelsverleden van Indonesië en vers lokaal geproduceerd voedsel. Routes wisselen seizoensgebonden af tussen Bali en Komodo National Park, de Ambon en Specerijeneilanden, Raja Ampat en West-Papoea. Eind 2026 organiseert Aqua Blu twee speciaal gecharterde reizen met National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.

Cabin 402 is a 30 sqm Category I cabin on the bridge deck, featuring a double bed, a separate sitting room with a sofa, side table, and two armchairs, large windows, and a compact en-suite bathroom with a large shower. A sofa bed accommodates a third guest, up to a maximum capacity of 3. This is one of the vessel's largest cabins, with direct access to the bridge deck area. Cabins 401 and 402 can be joined to form a two-room suite at the top of the ship with direct deck access to the bridge.
