Emperor Divers
Emperor Divers has been running dive holidays since 1992, with liveaboards and dive centres across Egypt, the Maldives, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands. Two vessels represent the Indonesian fleet on Coralbound — Emperor Harmoni and Emperor Raja Laut — with more of Emperor's boats expected to join over time, including their Maldives and Solomon Islands vessels.
The operator's pricing model is straightforward: nitrox, park fees, port fees, and fuel surcharges are all included in the published rate. A glass of wine or beer with dinner is included too. What you see is what you pay, without the variable add-ons common elsewhere in the Indonesian liveaboard market.
Emperor Harmoni
Emperor Harmoni is the larger of the two, launched in 2022 and built from Sulawesi ironwood, carrying up to 24 guests across 12 en-suite cabins on two decks. She's one of only a handful of liveaboards in Indonesia running dual engines — a genuine advantage for reliability on longer crossings rather than a marketing point.
Cabins are split across twin, double-and-single, and double configurations to suit couples, friends, or families, each with portholes on the lower deck and windows on the upper deck, plus individually controlled air conditioning throughout. The main deck lounge is air-conditioned with a large HD screen and an internationally stocked bar, and the upper deck has outdoor seating with beanbags and sunbeds. Up to four dive guides run three dives a day from three RIBs, with camera facilities including charging stations and rinse tanks for photographers.
Itineraries for the 2026/2027 season cover Raja Ampat, Triton Bay, the Banda Sea, and the Forgotten Islands, running 7 to 12 nights. Twice a year, Harmoni runs an eastern Forgotten Islands departure based out of Tual, reaching remote sites in the eastern Banda Sea that most operators — who typically finish in Saumlaki or route via Alor and Flores — don't cover.
Emperor Raja Laut
Emperor Raja Laut — "King of the Sea" — is the smaller, more intimate of the two, a 31-metre schooner-style vessel built from tropical hardwood carrying just 12 guests across 6 cabins, all on the lower deck. All departures are guaranteed regardless of guest numbers, and the same all-inclusive pricing applies as on Harmoni.
Cabins are split evenly between three twin bunk-style rooms and three double rooms, each with a porthole, individual air conditioning, a fan, and a mini-safe. The lower deck lounge is fully air-conditioned with a film and music library, and the upper deck has an outdoor dining area and a small bar. Two dive guides run dives from two RIBs.
Beyond standard diving itineraries across Raja Ampat, Komodo, the Banda Sea, and Alor-Banda Ring of Fire crossings, Raja Laut also runs a Discover Raja Ampat leisure cruise for non-diving guests, and an annual Culture & Cuisine voyage with chef Tait Miller — a culinary and cultural trip rather than a dive-focused one.
