A traditional Phinisi for experienced divers who want to dive the best of Indonesia. Ilike is on Coralbound.

This is a platform spotlight. If you're here to plan an Indonesia liveaboard trip, start with the Indonesia liveaboard guide.

Iliké

Ilike is a traditional Phinisi, built in Bira, South Sulawesi, in 2010 and remodelled in 2016. Bira is where the Konjo boatbuilders have made Phinisi for generations.

She carries 16 guests in 8 en-suite cabins. Twin 320HP engines give her a cruising speed of 9 to 10 knots. The operator is a Belgian-managed team, with a mixed European and Indonesian crew.

A mid-range boat for experienced divers

Iliké is a mid-range boat. The comfort is good and the diving is the focus.

She is not a boat for beginners. The operator requires a minimum of 75 logged dives and an Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent before boarding.

That is a deliberate choice. Iliké regularly sails remote, current-driven areas, including the Banda Sea, Komodo and Raja Ampat. Sites can be challenging, and medical facilities can be many hours away.

If you're still building experience, our beginner's guide to Indonesia liveaboards covers where to start.

Cabins

Eight air-conditioned cabins, all with an en-suite bathroom:

  • Sea View Suite (1): upper deck, with large windows over the ocean. The bed converts between double and twin.
  • Suite (1): lower deck, with a large double bed.
  • Superior (4): lower deck, with a double bed and a bunk bed above.
  • Standard (2): lower deck, with a double bed and a bunk bed above.

Diving

The dive deck is one of the most spacious on an Indonesian liveaboard. It has dedicated camera preparation areas, separate rinse tanks and charging points.

Two tenders take divers to the sites, with four dive guides on board. Nitrox is available from a membrane compressor, at an extra charge. Tanks come with either DIN or INT connections.

On board

Meals are Indonesian and international, served in the air-conditioned saloon with its open kitchen, or at the sheltered outdoor dining area at the stern. The saloon has an entertainment system.

The sun deck has cushioned loungers and hammocks.
